The other day @ResneedingSyndrome saw a video that posed the interesting question, if people had too wait hours in line for bread, why didn't they just bake it at home?
In turns out bread was subsidized to be much cheaper than flour, which caused problems like peasants illegally buying it to use for animal feed.
Really makes you think that maybe white extinction is long overdue.
