Diets don't work for me. I get hungry before bed time. My body doesn't tolerate healthy foods. I can't lose weight because I don't have time to make it my No1 priority. Losing weight isn't as simple as “just eating less” , , ,
I love fat people excuses, just admit that you'd rather have an unhealthy body than put the effort and self control in to gaining a healthy one. I've heard literally every imaginable excuse except “I'm being force fed!”
Some overweight people pretend that they are happy at their size, but give them a magic button that will turn their body fit and healthy in an instant and see how many of them refuse to press it. They literally can't not just delay the gratification of excess food now in return for a healthy body that could months or years away.
Whilst I do have sympathy for people with severe medical or mental issues which are a primary cause for their excess weight, these causes are just not applicable for the vast majority of obese people.

It's disturbing how being fatphobic is not a red flag like any other form of bigotry in this comment section. [-18]

Fat people: I should be able to get medical care beyond being told “you should lose weight”.

"So this is basically a rant (and a cautionary tale) -
We bought two patio chairs from Wayfair because they were the only ones we could find with a weight capacity of 500lb. After we finished assembling the first one (took two people two hours of hard labor), we noticed a tag alerting us that the weight capacity is 250lb.
Wayfair, without batting an eyelash, sent us the manufacturer's reply that the 500lb capacity was meant for both chairs together - surprise (jazz hands).
Since the chair was so hard to assemble. we asked that Wayfair will arrange to pick up the chair as is, but despite talking to a supervisor, no one was able to help us. All we asked for is a bigger box, or a label to ship it via UPS rather than FedEx, because I know UPS packages everything.
As a longtime Wayfair customer, I want you all to be advised that Wayfair customer service has really gone downhill recently. Which is a shame. Also, be aware that not everything on their website is necessarily correct."
???? I guess when you're like 60 BMI or something, even standing counts as strenuous effort lol.

I’m sitting on a flight squished into the corner because this massive obese guy is taking up half my seat.
— Chaya Raichik (@ChayaRaichik10) April 1, 2024
I paid for a full seat, not 1/2 a seat.
He is violating @SouthwestAir’s own policies.
This isn’t normal or fair.
If you don’t fit in 1 seat you need to buy two seats.… pic.twitter.com/QR37NpN4Id

Thread full of garry_chesses dunking on a garry_chess who has been wrongfully discriminated against for being a person of size and sweating all over her patients during routine procedures. This is the journ*listic endeavor they are responding to. I'm actually a little surprised there aren't a ton of deleted comments.
Casetext for lawtists.
The only thing here that is even remotely a reasonable complaint on her part is that she gave away a procedure because they didn't have the correct size gown for her to wear.
According to the court ruling she weighed around 400lbs while in residency. That's a weight where doing darn near anything is physically taxing. Walking from one side of the ER to another was probably too strenuous for her.
You are confusing association with strict causation. Heaviest sumo wrestlers are over 400 lb. It is true that most people don't make it to 400 lb if they are also exercising-- but conversely, it is humanly possible to exercise at that weight and improve one's fitness.
"Niehay is 5'9” tall. Between 2012 and 2016, her weight steadily increased from 294.4 to up to 400.0 pounds, and her BMI from 43.99 to 59.07" It's humanly possible for an athlete to exercise at those weight points. Not for an average or below average fitness individual who gains weight rapidly ... That's roughly 75lbs a year of weight to support.
Translation: you eat too much
This is the story of how Lindsey's career was derailed and her financial circumstances upended by powers beyond her control
- by powers beyond her control
- beyond her control
I laughed out loud at this passage.
We don't talk about it? Seriously? Our bias training this year EXCLUSIVELY focused on "people of size" (the new euphemism) and didn't mention race or s*x even once.
It's their thyroid's fault. So hypothyroid they might as well be in a coma. TSH doesn't accurately capture their type of hypothyroidism so that's why they need the adderall. Otherwise you're not taking them seriously. Bad doctor!
Eating 10000 calories a day and being morbidly obese is of course the fault of their slow metabolism and thyroid!
No, it's the pill! They started it when they were 19, and have steadily gained all through their 20s so it must be that!
I'm sorry but doctors shouldn't be overweight. I wouldn't take much if any advice from a fat physician. I know metabolic disorders blah blah blah, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles
