I wear an Apple Watch to bed to track sleep and it consistently pins my deep sleep at about 12%. Normal range is about 13-23%.

:soycry:

fortunately, a friendly redditor came up with a simple checklist for a good night of sleep!

  • blackout window film
  • blackout curtains
  • electrical tape covering all of the electrical lights in the room
  • sleeping mask
  • don’t touch my phone
  • go for a walk to relax myself
  • relax for 2 hours with a book
  • take supplements (magnesium glycinate, vitamin c, zzzquil)
  • keep a notepad to write down any running thoughts
  • Tell myself “it will all be there when you wake up”
  • Being treated for adhd & anxiety
  • Seeing a psychiatrist
  • Working with a therapist

I try to look directly into the sun when I wake up and take the dog out (apparently this is linked to our circadian rhythm somehow? Idk but I do it)

It works great for status lights that are unnecessarily like 100 lumens.
