I wear an Apple Watch to bed to track sleep and it consistently pins my deep sleep at about 12%. Normal range is about 13-23%.
fortunately, a friendly redditor came up with a simple checklist for a good night of sleep!
- blackout window film
- blackout curtains
- electrical tape covering all of the electrical lights in the room
- sleeping mask
- don’t touch my phone
- go for a walk to relax myself
- relax for 2 hours with a book
- take supplements (magnesium glycinate, vitamin c, zzzquil)
- keep a notepad to write down any running thoughts
- Tell myself “it will all be there when you wake up”
- Being treated for adhd & anxiety
- Seeing a psychiatrist
- Working with a therapist
I try to look directly into the sun when I wake up and take the dog out (apparently this is linked to our circadian rhythm somehow? Idk but I do it)
