"Documentaries" these days are all about how weed cures childhood cancer but big pharma doesn't like it, so it's actually really brave to be baked every waking moment of your life.

I just like history documentaries, I donβt even learn anything, I forget all the info within an hour of it finishing, but some reason I love watching them. My girl got me a box set on ancient civilizations Iβm working through now.

But do they ever tell you the real truth, that all of the ancient civilizations were actually founded by Albanians?

Yeah there's some really good ones you can find on youtube about guys like Lavoisier. This neighbor made half the gunpowder America won its independence with while banging a really hot French chick who said stuff in French while inventing chemistry and all of those things were his hobbies before he got his head chopped. And then there's guys like Priestly and Mendeleev where their personal lives were more tame but its fascinating to see how they figured this stuff out using the limited cowtools they had.
In 40-year old boomer times in America we had NOVA that did really good science education for both adults and kids but it seems to have declined in quality. I really fear that this tradition is dying out. Or else some dude is copying it in Iran with 5 people with cell phones for $200,000 and only their kids will see it, not ours.
