they're very different ramens especially since one is cooked dry and the other is served in soup so shin ramyun's probably more your taste

boiling it's usually how it's cooked because frying is like another step
after the noodles are cooked you have to drain the water and then add the seasonings before mixing it 
of course you can fry it to make it even more delicious
the "goreng" in indomie goreng means "to fry" in Malay
