>Still, I am 67kgs and my height is 5'5

My 5'5" 8.5-month pregnant wife weighs less than this picky chonker.

5'5" is kinda short for a guy though, I was expecting him to be like 5'9" or something.

She's probably twice his weight. Me and my gf are the same height too but I'm 72kg and she's 48. So we're very well suited for each other

I'm going to say this in every dating thread:

In a purely descriptive, positive sense, people have preferences. Controversial things that men often care about include weight, sexual history, and youth. Controversial things that women often care about are height, status, and masculinity, broadly defined. The narrower your preferences, the smaller your dating pool becomes. It takes two to make a match, so if you narrow your preferences too much you might find that you don't fit in the preferences of anyone you want to date. If you tighten the search too much along one dimension, you may have to be more flexible in others. It's also perfectly okay to have standards that are so high that nobody meets them, or nobody who meets them is interested in dating you, but it's important to be realistic about this.

How does this play out? Attractive, tall, high status men can have strict preferences and still have lots of women who fit the bill and want to date them. If he has a high body count but only wants to date women with low body counts, he can very likely afford to do this and still have lots of people to date. Likewise, an attractive, low-income college student can surely find plenty of tall successful men to date. A short unsuccessful guy, or an overweight older woman can certainly have the same standards, but they will have a harder time finding partners.

We can argue the normative aspect of these preferences all day long but that won't help you find a boyfriend or a girlfriend. The attractive and successful high body count guy who wants a low body count wife is going to find her and marry her, and calling him an insecure hypocrite on reddit won't change that.

What do you need to do?

1. Ask yourself what you want and what you care about

2. Ask yourself what you bring to the table

3. Figure out if there's any overlap in (1) and (2), and if not, consider reevaluating your standards or working on improving yourself.

In my observation there's also an extra snag in (2) for a lot of women, who mistakenly infer that they're more desirable for a serious relationship than they really are. This happens because they often infer their desirability based on the desirability of the kinds of guys they hook up with without fully internalizing how much guys are willing to "frick down."
