I am glad she is doing well. I remember she got so much crap for the NYT profile. I met her husband (had no idea who he was) overseas many years ago, when he was on some journ*lism assignment. He definitely turned on the charm, gave me his contact information, asked me to meet up again, etc. Luckily I was leaving that country the next day so never saw him again. Later on, I looked him up thinking I should message him - and OMG He totally lied about his backstory LOL - I remember being shocked to find out he had this beautiful wife and family! Bullet dodged.

I read this, I used to follow her extensively. I generally like her writing, but the name/brand/cool thing dropping is sometimes distracting. It's a really interesting commentary on how we protect men. FWIW, her husband slid into my DMs during divorce so I'm not surprised by this. But I'm also not sure why should would have married this guy when he clearly didn't accept monogamy, and that's what she wanted. He's decently hot though, so I guess it can happen.
