You're right, Mrs Ben 10 has a sweet tooth and she loves it. I've done Claridge's and the Connaught in London and then a bunch of others.
The difference between a £60 five star London hotel afternoon tea and a normal one is huge - everything made fresh and top-class service vs some sandwiches, scones and cakes that might have come from Tesco.
Yours looks pretty good @TastyZanday, what did you think?
This one was good as heck. Definitely more pricey than is probably reasonable, but it was for both my gf and my mom so it’s worth getting a little bit extra.
Where would you suggest I go if I wanted to try it out in London? Is there a good place for people new to it all? I've been thinking of planning a trip to London and this would be an interesting experience.
Claridge's is really nice. Splash out and do it at one of the luxury hotels, it's worth it as an experience. Most of these hotels have world-leading bars too (the Connaught and Savoy's bars sometimes win best bar in the world awards), so go there for a cocktail before.

Oh and don't do the Ritz, it's a bit of a tourist meme.
