I don't eat fast food that often but I went to McDonalds today and it was a sad experience. The fries were mediocre (and I normally love their fries), I don't know what knockoff ketchup they're using now but it was terrible, and the burger was below average. And worst of all it was $10.
Most of the fast food I've had recently is either still decent but even more expensive (Wendy's and Arby's are alright for example but a meal is around $15) or terrible and still moderately expensive for what it is. Taco Bell is basically the only one left where I feel like I can get half decent fast food for a reasonable price, and that's only if you stick to specific foods in a value box.

Chick-Fil-A is good, gotten kinda expensive. Other than that Taco Bell is all I'll eat really. There are some chicken finger places I like still, too, like Zaxby's, but those are mostly regional IDK if you have one around (or something like it).

A lot of these restaurants try to force you to download and order through their mobile app, and the price you see in-store is artificially high. Wendy's at least still has 4 for 4, but McDonalds is a complete rip off to order from without the app. And I refuse to download a fast food app for places I eat at only a few times a year. For Taco Bell, you don't have to install the app, just create a rewards account and place orders through there. And then you can customize their value boxes in ways the instore kiosk does not allow.
