I loved it as a kid because I never tasted anything smokey/rich like it. I've concluded my parents don't believe in spices/salt, let alone BBQ sauce. Mind was blown when I learned as a young adult (!) I could have that taste in any context. So I'm thankful for the McRib for showing me there is tasty food out there and that eating is not a puritan activity of joyless postponing starvation.
