Checks out, there's a whole old western larper culture over here that has a lot of overlap with being devoted NFL fans

Lol really? He seemed pretty cool/normal but did seem more interested in the US in general than most, maybe he was one of them.

Yeah, it's cultural appropriation. :marseyrage: They have a few of these little larp villages that I'd assume are for kids, but there are also groups of adults who go to get an old timey western shave and wear a Stetson or something. It's kind of cute. This is the biggest one, apparently: https://www.pullmancityharz.de

Wild west is a pretty cool setting. I guess it's always had some worldwide appeal but I've never knew it's to the point people would larp it.

Reminds me of this lol

I watched it in Köln one year during Carneval and it was great. Much fewer commercials including one for Jager in which they lit a giant Jager sign on fire, and then when the American version was showing commercials they'd talk about the Patriots right tackle (who was from Germany) and what he was doing.

The German football league is the biggest football league outside of North America. It's still very small.

The NFL desperately wants a team somewhere in Europe and Germany is often brought up as a potential location.

Wikipedia is proof that even if history is written by the victors the ones putting it on paper are definitely losers.
