It's not really fair to put us all into 1 group. North India and South India are vastly different, we don't even share the same ancestry. Proto Indo Aryans came into South India and mixed with the local population. In the present day, South India is more developed and more civilized than the North where you see the common stereotype of pooping in the street and phone scams.
The problem with immigration is that until recently the western countries were only allowing in the best indians from the South now Canada is letting in just about any indian

the caste thing is fake and mostly just indians treating lower castes as affirmative action grads back home, which is indeed how it works in indian universities. and I don't think it's inherently bad to have some kind of ethnic pillarization within an industry the same way there used to be both WASP and jewish law firms, though it is kind of outrageous when whites and men are being punished harder than ever for being above some EEOC quota within a company, but my view is that we should simply stop doing that rather than start punishing indians. !mottezans

Problem is you give politicians, activists, and billionaires an inch and they take a mile. Gays get married and within the decade pro gay organizations are advocating for medically sterilizing children and chopping off their body parts. Obama gets elected and suddenly Michael Brown and St Floyd are good guys worth breaking lockdowns and mask mandates too "mostly peacefully" burn down cities. Two more weeks becomes two more years. @JewdankEnjoyer is sure you can think of a few more examples.
They've trained people too never budge even an inch. Because even admitting "not all Indians" means a Canada-style immigration flood. Maybe not, but how can you be sure?

Probably. But there's no position that lets the "good ones" in and keeps out the "bad ones." A lot of people have been trained to be maximally racist on this issue because compromising on "the good ones" means bringing in the bad. Look no further than Germany the other day where one of the good Muslim immigrants still fired up the car of peace.
