Hmm, I usually have no problem with them in a bed. Maybe the soil you are using is at fault? Do you have a local garden shop? My local shop is great at giving me advice about what soils to use for certain plants. I'd recommend the soil I use, but it's local and not available outside of where I live. It could also be not enough sunlight, but that is less likely.

My dad mixed it, and he's very good with soil.

Ah that would do it, I'd suggest buying a cloth cover for those really hot days. Saved my herbs a couple times this year. Get one of those white breathable ones, not the black solid ones that basically bake the plants.

I've seen my neighbors use the white cloth-like barriers, but I cannot affix anything to my outdoor walls... :marseyquestion: gotta think thoughts on that one!
