While I've been afraid of this gay hole closing and have been meaning to farm /r/askgaybros for outrage or just dump spme sexy rule 34, I've thought that maybe I'll make a regular low-effort post first.
So I'm a bit bored of the apps. Some decent options and I get a good amount of matches (even if my skin is in crisis atm - my pics are still π). Good chats, some first dates, not a lot of seconds (mostly my choice) 
I'm also trying not to age into one of those 38-45 year old gay cliches who are like 'I can't find a decent guy (chad) (but I'll never drop my standards and go out with guys who do match with me because I deserve better).
But I was wondering if I try my hand at gay speed dating? There are a few events near my capital city and after spending some time there, I was struck by how it's pretty fricking gay so I reckon there are a greater amount of options.
But how sad is it? To not only speed date, but gay speed date since if you really get over your inhibitions you can find easy butt to smash. And do you think it'll be regular losers who can't be successful on the apps or losers like me with moderate success but looking for a change of pace?

Ever since Grindr removed the filter option for ethnicity, I stopped using it and my number of new friends and dates has decreased.
But I don't want to try speed-dating. I get self-conscious easily and being on the
spectrum doesn't help with small talk and introductions. So long story short,

Idk I think my current relationship is healthy. I think you should do what's right for you, and that you may or may not need companionship.
For example it may be that you won't let the right person into your life because you're disqualifying them over something arbitrary. Speed dating might part the veil on what you like and who you like.
I used to have a hard time getting people to talk to me because I am ugly. But eventually I found someone who not only thinks I'm hot, but also likes me as a person. But initially, he said he was worried because while I was hot the first few days I was slow to reply. Which true.
Now I'm in a loving relationship, closing in on one year. Most of the dating prospects that passed me up, rather aggressively I might add, are still single. I win again :)
But to the main point on speed dating, it's a great way to pierce the veil of banality. If you cannot hold a five minute conversation, you won't hold a relationship.

Yeah I definitely try not to be superficial and disqualify over arbitrary stuff. But it's kind of led me to giving actual losers (addicts, jobless etc) a chance when I really shouldn't have. I'm thinking that this mighr actually be a good experience to at least try once or twice!

I'm a little self-conscious atm.
Defs from stress I've put on a little weight. I look the same with clothes on but at least to me I'm noticably thicker in a bad way. So bath house is a no go atm for me. Maybe soon.
