Eric Michael Thornton was a predator involved in the Ft. Myers, Florida edition of To Catch A Predator. Thornton is one of the most infamous predators featured on the show, namely due to his admission of having a problem talking to and meeting underage girls, his strange appearance, his odd way of speaking, the obscene amount of alcohol he brought to the sting house, his many hilarious quotes from his chatlog and interview, and his bizarre cat obsessed TikTok activities years after the sting.

Thorton made the decision to drive four hours to meet with the decoy. When Thorton arrived at the sting house, the decoy, who was an eighteen-year-old actress pretending to be a child, greeted him from another room. Thorton presented the numerous alcoholic drinks and condoms he had brought with him. While he ate a cookie, Chris Hansen appeared and questioned him. Thorton claimed he was there to simply "hang out" and thought it was a "good idea" to visit. He admitted to meeting ten-fifteen underage girls he had met online in person and changed his story several times until finally admitting he had a problem. Thorton claimed that he had gone to counseling a lot of times but stopped after five months. He also admitted he planned to spend the night but wouldn't be "too graphic" until they met. When asked what should happen, Thorton said he should be allowed to go home and "learn" from his mistake. Hansen then revealed his identity, making the cameras to come out. Thorton did not run but instead warned other potential child s*x predators not to talk to underage children. He expressed feeling "regretful" and "horrible".

To get on to the main point of this post: on July 20, Eric Thornton died when he veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another driver, the person he hit fortunately only had minor injuries. It is still unknown if he was drunk at the time.

Three days later, someone begins posting screenshots of messages between a 14 year old and Eric Thornton, and videos of Eric speaking to teens in Snapchat groups.

In these screenshots Eric talks about his peepee to this 14 year old , says he would take her out if she was 16 , and tells her how to masturbate and offers to finger her himself.

He also sends amazing selfies to the teens like this.

The person posting these things on the To Catch a Predator shares that they had met Eric Thornton on some chat site called Mini Chat (?), and she and her teenage friends were talking to him to collect "evidence" against him. I don't know what that really means considering they had enough on him to get him sent back to prison and did nothing, so I assume they were actually just fricking with him for fun.

Mini chat! It's just like Omegle. Me and my group found him on there but we never knew he was on tcap, we just knew he was a predator. After a day later getting all this info out of him, my friend looked him up on google and found offender charges and we confronted him and he blocked us all, and we were like we can't end it here, because he could just go on mini chat and talk to other children. So we found a way to get him back and it sort of became a thing for him. Talking to teenagers, which is crazy. The stuff he did in the group chat is unthinkable. I never would've thought I would come over a Chris Hansen predator. It's all sort of crazy to me thinking about it, we would all talk to him for literally hours straight, he would explain himself on why he is not a predator and how he changed, blah blah blah. There's so much more. He would always text me after work. I didn't even know he died until his sister texted me and told me after I told her about his actions. She was pretty pissed at me as well. I don't know why either. It all started on Jul. 1st.

We are underage (15-17) and we look for predators on mini-chat. Eric is one we would never forget though. His life was very depressing but somehow it always revolved around a child, and on mini-chat he was very s3xual. He was playing with his g3nitals on there when we met him. No stopping or nothing. It was non stop.
