Guy caught on To Catch a Predator was recently arrested for kidnapping a child and tying them to a chair so they couldn't escape

Klein was forty-three-years-old at the time when he began chatting with a decoy named "Nathasha", whom he thought was a fifteen-year-old black girl. James asks the decoy if she ever experienced oral s*x and says to the decoy "I can tell you one thing. My tongue would be all over you: your mouth, your nipples, down between your legs too." When talking to the decoy over the phone, James joked and laughed about the risk of being arrested and having to register as a s*x offender for life if he was caught.[1]

When being questioned by police, James says he had been married for twenty years and has three children who were ages eleven, thirteen and fifteen. He tells the officers he was going to spend the night at the house and watch movies with the decoy. James later states that he had two glasses of wine when he started chatting with the decoy, and that it "clouded his judgement."

James would eventually plead guilty to Attempted Child Molestation and Attempted Sodomy.[2] He was sentenced to 10 years in prison with a minimum of five years to serve, ten years of probation, and (unsurprisingly) register as a s*x offender for life.[1][3] He was released around Christmas time in 2009 and remained on probation until 2019.[3]

A 60-year-old Marietta man who was captured on the Fortson, Georgia edition of the famous TV show "To Catch a Predator" in 2006 has been arrested again on child-related charges. Paulding County officers arrested James Michael Klein, also known as "Jim", on August 9, 2023, for crimes committed in July and charged him with battery – simple assault and felony false imprisonment (victim is younger than 14).

In his most recent charges, Klein is accused of keeping a seven-year-old child bound to a chair with both wrists held together with duct tape. The child suffered marks and scratches from being restrained. Klein did not have permission from the parents to have the child in his custody.

TCAP YouTuber Skip Tracer says the child in question is his grandchild, and James's daughter was the one who called the police on him, but there is no definite proof of this yet.
