Wasn't there some debate as to whether or not these are legal? I still prefer my traditional with stick and square gate, so I can play my arcade games AND my fighting games.

Yeah, there was some SOCD issues that let you instant charge with the right settings. That stuff has been fixed though, and now most sticks, like this one, come with settings to accommodate for different games.
Why wouldn't you be able to play other games on a leverless, I do it just fine.
