3rd Strike is a classic and a friend of mine tells me at least some of you play it, which would be great since we can get a great big turnout! 
If you've never played with us before, don't even sweat it, quite a few of our seasoned players are also new to this game. Street Fighter 3 is a low-bullshit game, at least for it's time and I think a lot of you will be able to learn it quickly. Keyboards are actually a great way to play, so don't feel limited by your means either.
Until the recent Vampire tournament, 3rd strike christmas had been our biggest tourney, I hope to continue this 
The Street Fighter 3 series is quite simple, and features only one saving mechanic, the parry. Tap forward or down at just the right time, and you'll be able to completely negate which as you might imagine has led to some quite hype moments in the history of the game:

No one here has played this game (since I had issues last time), so don't feel intimidated if you're new to FGC.
Hisoutensoku is a very well known indie fighter, and interestingly for a japanese game it was never released in arcades. It's very unique in it's gameplay, since it's based on a shmup series and tries to retain those systems. So whereas every character in something like Guilty Gear is a RushDown, every character in Soku is a zoner. The game also includes a universal flight mechanic, as well as a DUST-ish attack. If any of you are 2h fans you should definitely try this one out!
