Same, it's a shame. They could have been shit without ruining a lot of the plot threads, but as it is so many things just don't go anywhere. I still can't believe what they did with Jaime.

I thought the ending was artistically pretty solid, even if it felt like shit. "The Return of the King" has never been good for any human being, ever. That's basically the culmination of the whole series (fantasy mixed with historical accuracy.) The Mongols would just kill your city, if you resisted. Season 1, she's hanging out with the Mongols, it's right there.

I didn't have a problem with that aspect at all, I thought that was where her arc was heading the entire time. It was moreso how rushed it was. They threw away multiple plot lines. What was even the point of Jon being who he was? Was it just to drive Dany mad? If so, they didn't do very well showing even that. Bran being king was completely non-sensical, I could see the books going there but he was barely even a character in the show.
