Funny thing- I actually LOVE the story of Last of Us Part Two.
But what the 4Channers did was a county mile better than the game itself, and that was BEFORE the finale when they actually ANIMATED the scene they malded about EXPERTLY.

Ellie abandoned (and “killed”) her father because she blamed him for an impossible decision he had to make. She KNEW being angry with him was wrong because there was no good answer. When she said she doesn't know if she could ever forgive him, she's also talking about herself. That's why she says she wants to try. [EDIT - it's also why she bought the lie in the first fricking place and she KNOWS it.]
The game is about her destroying herself.
She let Abby go because to destroy her is to destroy the only thing she had left, but she knew she didn't really want to die.
But how do we live?
It's a great story that was, -enthusiastically agreed - poorly paced and badly structured.

... Nah. She's talking about Lev, you're just putting everything you think of the game on two words. The game could be trying to say everything you attribute to it, but if it is then it does it terribly.
Also everyone hates Abby, I don't get why she has a s*x scene, I don't get why anyone gives a shit about Lev, let alone Elly taking him off the crucifix except that they couldn't let the train character die, and letting Abby go may be meant to show Revenge Bad and break the cycle of violence, but there's just been a whole game of Abby holding a grudge for years and never giving it up. If forgiveness means letting a psychopath and her pet escape so they can recover their strength and come after you again, that's just idiocy.
Everyone in the game is dumb and the story is hamfisted dreck. It's great you got a profound message out of it, but my God did you have to dig really deep to find it.
