Blair Witch

Another one? The 2016 sequel was so bad. You could tell the producers just didn't give a shit.

Think the first one is still the most profitable movie ever so they'll keep going lol. They made like 5 Paranormal Activities.

God, I hope not. After Blair Witch 2 bombed, they left the franchise alone for 16 years.

Modern low to mid budget horror is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it's allows more diverse cinema. Meanwhile, it encourages shitty, low-effort, writing-by-committee slop, because it will almost certainly return a profit.

Exorcist: Believer (2023), for example, is a crime against humanity. Sadly, it made bank. :marseydepressed:

the problem with modern low budget horror is they rely entirely on CGI and it always looks like fricking garbage.

spend 20 bucks on tom savini's book you fricking r-slurs. it's going to look objectively better than what the guy you found on fiver does. :uhuh:

bad low budget horror is like my favorite thing ever, but the vast majority of those movies made now are unwatchable because of the CGI.

not only the most profitable movie ever but also the scariest scene/ending in MOVIE HISTORY.

i'm gonna have to sleep with the lights on tonight just thinking about it.

maybe it's because i was like 13 when i saw it and still thought it was real but her frantically running around the house only to go in the basement and see him standing in the corner then the camera drops? JESUS CHRIST. :hysterical:

Wasnt that because the witch makes one person look at the wall while she kills the other person so theyre scared knowing they're next?

i don't remember the reasoning behind it but it was def something the witch was known for doing. early in the movie when they are interviewing townsfolk i think one of them tells the corner-standing-lore? it's been a looooong time since i've seen it.
