Oz is such a silly melodrama, but it's got some of the absolute best characters ever put on television. Keller, Schilinger, the black prisoner who literally can't stop fricking up.
And then Said, my waifu: ideal Muslim ACLU personified. Dean Winters and Beecher are also great. Gay Asian priest, Rita Moreno, that bald Wizard of Oz frick, the warden... Simon Adebisi? Aside from the one r-slurred storyline in which Dean Winters' brother is progressively aged, and then they just kinda undo it, Oz really is one of the most consistently engaging shows ever. Frick, then there's the wheelchair narrator? Who fricking dies?
Oz has to be the second best show HBO made after Pranos. Clearly.
