What Movie :marseyinboots: Fricked You Up The Most?

As a teen it was easily Requiem For a Dream.

Now, nothing :marseynothingburger: has hurt me like The Sea of Trees.

Which movies hurt you?

I was rather young and very religious

The depiction of Satan was so fricking creepy. One form it took was this pale genderless human, no eyebrows, with bugs crawling out of its nose and ears

All the gore and crucifixion was whatever, but Satan stuck with me for way too long

That was my exact experience with Veggie Tales in the 90s.

My mom rented Child's Play 2 for me and my friends when we were in second grade lol. The Exorcist is the only movie that actually scared me though.

Not really fricked me up but Atonement was sad cause I thought they would get a happy ending.

Also a movie about a US soldier in Kosovo or something who saves a mother and baby. The mother gets caught and executed but he ends up adopting the baby. Watched it ages ago was pretty good. If anyone knows the name of that movie lmk.

Nvm its called Savior.

My dad had me watch Battle of Algiers when I was about 11. It caused me to do stuff like believe that torture and murder are bad.

Kids really need to be exposed to a lot more violent imagery that actually shows the consequences of it.

That scene where the Algerian foids drop the bomb off at the cafe and the camera is frantically cutting around between their faces, the clock, and the cafe patrons is haunting. It's the most anxiety inducing scene I've ever seen in a movie

Old boy jerked off on the red head, then choked her in a river of fanta and still got the girl in the end after she was gang banged by the BWC allegory aka the mass production Eva's

It's basically an allegory for the loss of japanese masculinity to the gigachad american weapons of war

I'd like to post a couple of films that did it for me, but I realise that it has more to do with the state I watched them in rather than the movies themselves. Most of the ones I find memorable in this sense I watched during a bad time in my life, while many other films that I recognize as really good just didn't have the same impact on me because I was in a good mood

:marseyreading:

A suicidal American befriends a Japanese man lost in a forest near Mt. Fuji and the two search for a way out.

And the imdb reviewers give it good praise and say to ignore the critics (who are always wrong), so I'll check it out.
