Nosferatu is the earliest kino I've seen. The best silent kino is Battleship Potemkin and Modern Times. It's less accessible but I love Dreyer's La passion de Jeanne d'Arc. I've tried Buster Keaton but it didn't hit with me.

I watched the Great Dictator which is almost a silent movie and then another Charlie Chaplin movie that was almost silent except for sound effects.
They were intentionally made to be similar to Silent movies at least.
