‘True Detective' Renewed for Season 5 With Issa López at the Helm

Issa Lopez is genuinely one of the stupidest people I've ever encountered, I mean genuinely sub 80 IQ.

For example, her explanation for the tongue is that:

1. Hank cut it off when he dumped Annie K's body

2. The cleaning women found the body before the police

3. They took the tongue before police arrived, even though it could have been evidence

4. They froze the tongue for six years instead of burying or cremating it

5. They brought the tongue with them when they killed the scientists

6. They left it in a hidden corner

She actually believes this makes sense.
