I didn't like the subaltern character, there was something kind of off about her. Otherwise liked the episode, so far I rate the series above The Pacific, but below Generation Kill and Band of Brothers.

i enjoyed the ones where they weren't at home or in australia a lot.
but i'm also incredibly easy to please when it comes to WW2 stuff.
it's half as good as band of brothers but it's still a big budget WW2 mini series so it was gonna have to actively try for me to not at least like it.
i read the sledge book and the leckie book before hand so i was already kind of IN before i even watched it since a lot of it was based on those books.

Jesus the show is starting to suck. I wanted to see cool planes shooting at each other. Instead half the episode is the most bong Bongs having some party where they all talk in their horroble accent. "Oh Lefffftaaaanent Cocklsuck fancy a wank?".
And the other half was "Oh no these people are angry at us for killing their families...heeeelp warcrimes". Fricking Terrorflieger.
But hey turns out the Elvis character is alive!!!! And despite being in a Nazi camp he managed to score some weed because even there he looks stoned out of his mind

Yeah Band of Brothers had 1 episode where they sat in a bar and it was the last one.
Meanwhile we now have had at least 3 episodes of balls, partys, dances and whatnot.
Oh and we also have to endure at least one episode with the heroic negroes they keep teasing every intro. There was ONE line in the book "we were in a prison camp. We saw some black fellas there".
The show is turning that into whitey is getting saved by the "WW2 pilots presented by Google Gemini"
