Is Come And See worth watching?

It's unquestionably a very well made film but you can go look under your local overpass at hobos raping each other and injecting fent and get a similar vibe to the way you'll feel after watching Come And See.

Not nearly the greatest ever but everyone should watch it. Kinda gives you some perspective on WW2 and why it was such a big deal.

Watched it with Old Man Redactor decades ago. There's one scene where somebody is shooting a machine gun and the tracers are ricocheting all over the place and he said they actually really were shooting a machine gun.

The audio quality is the only thing that doesn't hold up.

It's pretty dang good. if the "war" part concerns ya, it leans more into emotive imagery; so not super realistic, closer to a nightmare.

Make sure you get the best quality torrent you can find if you do watch it, its well worth it.

Yes, but I didn't get it personally. It is interesting from the viewpoint of how artsy, modern and A24-ish it feels for being an old film from a country that doesn't even exist anymore, but I watched it side by side with All Quiet on the Western Front when it came out, and liked that one way more, and it's not my favourite war movie either.

Oh also it's worth reading how the film was made because they actually used real wartime munitions for scenes where they bomb forests and the actor who played main character got dragged through heck whilst filming and it fricked up his psyche for life
