Henry rifle was $40 dollar rifle. That would be $1400 dollars nowdays. And it had very weak bullet. It was best close range weapon in civil war. Giving user lot of firepower. But at longer range it was weak. Right after civil war idea was taken further as Winchester rifle.
Spencer repeating rifle would make more sense. Espesily considering how much more common gun it was vs henry. 14000 henry rifles vs 200000 spenser rifles. Even if both were 40 dollar rifles.
