[Edit] Watched it. I know I've lowered my expectation, but so far I think it's okay. Witches are established lore, and people loved the "Plagueis created Anakin" theory for years so I don't know why they'd get so upset over this. Seems no worse than a lot of weird shit that has been introduced over the years.
The stuff about space fires and the whole coven dying in 30 seconds or whatever is silly though. I expect the latter point might be expanded on later.
