They keep threading the same path over and over again, it's really boring

Oh Butcher and MM have a fight oh okay they are friends again

Oh Frenchie is sad cause he's a murderer oh no oh okay he learns to accept his past

Oh they are gonna kill Homelander for real this time here it comes oh ok they don't do it I guess

IT'S TIRING

DO SOMETHING NEW

Also Erin Moriarty looks like a freak no joke, I hope they arrested her plastic surgeon because what he did is malpractice

I don't know what she was thinking warping her face like that after her schpeil about being yourself and harping about body standards etc.

Like lmao you hypocritical b-word and you're upset nobody finds your disfigurement attractive.

The first season is good but YMMV after that. It becomes increasingly obvious that the writers are shitlibs that think orange man is hitler incarnate (they basically turn homelander into a trump expy and then have him go full literal nazi), and the show's quality suffers quite a bit for it.

It may seem that way but have you noticed how every protagonist doesn't know how to live? I think it's intentional

In the case of the supes I think it's supposed to be bc they can't reconcile their powers with being human or whatever, but in the case of the non-supes idk, it would be a veeeeery subtle point for them to make compared to how painfully heavy-handed the rest of the political messaging is.

It has to be like that because leftoids fall to pieces if they feel criticized in even the smallest way. Trust the plan

One thing that's even more annoying than the steady downward trend in the show's quality is the amount of media literacy nerds on twitter going "haha it was always making fun of rightoids are you dumb????"

Like yeah it was and everybody could see that but certain rightoids have reached a limit and can't stomach it anymore and lash out by calling it 'woke'. These fricking tumbr refugees then call everyone r-slurred for not 'getting it' because media agreeing with them is the only achievement they can boast and so they do it loudly.

In other words: everybody is a fricking r-slur and we were much better off before social media and this show is a great example of just how much worse our cultural discourse has gotten.

I like that the writers keep the money flowing with easily accessible rightoid jokes so they have the freedom to viciously dunk on leftoids.

I loved hearing hughie's mom describe how she just couldn't even (raise him)

It's capeshit, give me some funny quips and a little gratuitous violence and I'm entertained. I don't give a shit about whatever subtext or if the writers are commie libs, it's capeshit, it's like going to taco bell at 11:30pm. I'm not there expecting some gourmet shit.

I wouldn't say I enjoy watching it anymore.

It's a similar situation to Game of Thrones where after a certain point the show became kinda mediocre and not worth watching but I watched it anyway because at that point I was too invested in the story.

I enjoyed the first 2 seasons but season 3 got just obnoxiously heavy handed with the trump comparisons.
