Post your kino sins/guilty pleasures that may trigger some sneed

I unironically like Cobra Kai

The Planet of the Apes trilogy (2011-2017) is vastly better than the originals, in fact, the originals are pure garbage

Silence (2016) was boring and lame

Event Horizon is one of the best horror movies ever made

Kaiju movies are just creature capeshit

Transformers 2007 is exactly what the franchise needed to be to escape from nerd rot.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a pretty enjoyable film.

The first Hobbit film was better put together than the first LOTR film.

yes yes big no

The first Hobbit film is the best in the trilogy, and yet still mediocre.

I guess it depends on what you mean by saying "better put together".

Fellowship simply ran too long and the pacing was all over the place. It only works well if you've already seen the trilogy before and so have a proper idea of what's going on. Otherwise on a first showing the film is difficult to follow and doesn't have a satisfying conclusion.

Also no Bombadil

America has never managed to remake a Japanese horror film successfully.

Avengers is just a poor rip-off of the Kino League of Extraordinary Gentlemen from 2003.

They thought they were clever when they made the ship fly instead of sink.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen from 2003

I actually watched this in the kinoplex when I was younger, and enjoyed it.

I agree about the Avengers thing. If the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was repackaged and released with Marvel characters in the capeshit era, the soy critics would have loved it.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li isn't that bad. I mean it's not great but it's okay.

Of course the '90s Street Fighter movie was fricking awesome, but I don't think anyone would dispute that. And I don't even like the video game.

Fathom is okay. Racquel Welch gives one of the most terrible acting performances I've ever seen, but she's not wearing very much through the whole movie. Can you really ask for more than that? :marseyshrug:

Light comedies are mocked too much on the internet.

I liked Spy with Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham, and all Hangover movies and all Night at the Museum movies.

Cobra Kai is great. Get to watch kids beat the shit out of each other for slight misunderstandings.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is great, and both it and Last Crusade are better than Raiders.

Alien 3 is, despite many flaws, really good.

Vacation (2015) was pretty funny

The Watch was pretty funny

Both have terrible reviews. Admittedly they aren't the highest tier comedy, but were so much funnier than Bottoms, I Love You Man, or Game Night which were praised to the skies.
