HOTD is great. But it is a bit confusing due to the genetics aspect of it all:
1. The Green's Queen Mother is a reddish brunette and her sons are all pure blonde Targaryen looking.
2. The Black's Queen is a pure blonde Targaryen but her sons are brunettes.
And yes, they're both couples which had 1 blonde Targaryen parent and 1 brunette Westeros parent. But the fathers are out of the picture so you only see the children with their mothers and they look like they were swapped in the crib.
And then you've got House Joy-Ann Reid, i.e. black dragon riders with blond hair. I guess melanin works in mysterious ways in this universe. They're the Neighborryens.
[edit] i just realised Targaryens includes 'aryens' aka 'aryans'. And they're blonde with pale eyes, and they're dragon rider master race. Did George RR Martin get attacked by the Woke Mob^TM for this??
