I just liked narcos mexico because like all normal and not at all unstable or weird Americans I am very familiar with the past ~40 years of cartelshit and all the big names and events and people and there's a fair bit of dramatization obviously but it was still really cool seeing all these quasi-historical figures live and dramatized and made sympathetic

It had a lot of great moments, but I couldn't quite buy the Andor twink as Felix Gallardo.

Yeah lol the casting absolutely went for "kinda sorta could have looked like X or Y at some point in time but who cares they look cool or hot or both" and really I think that's the best way to do any sort of casting

Virtually every dude dramatized in the show looks like shit irl too but even if they were still fat or ugly in the show, they made them look badass and everyone had presence befitting their role
I have no complaints about Narcos Mexico at all. Unlike the Pablo Escobar Narcos it never got tired of itself and crawled wheezing and begging to die until someone shot it
