I watched Constantine last week, and it was pretty good, in the not-actually-that-good kind of way. Like, it's not a brilliant film or anything, but it's just good enough that it's fun to watch. The plot is fun, the concepts are fun, and it's executed just competently enough for it to work. Bretty cool.
Also it's funny as frick that Keanu really can't act for shit, and is just himself in basically every movie he's in.

Watched Talented Mr Ripley yesterday. Seen it before but wanted to show it to one of my friends. I think it's a pretty good psychological thriller which manages to be disturbing without being gory and also doesn't end on the 'the main character was insane all this time!!!

Probably gonna watch Apt Pupil this evening for the same reasons (want to show it to someone), as I consider it an alright movie despite really hating most of King's works

watched The World's End (2013) and it was actually pretty good, surprised I never heard of it. If you liked Hot Fuzz this is almost exactly that but with a bit more character focus
The Truman Show re-watch was as good as always. Maybe I just like Jim Carrey but the concept I wish was explored more, either here or in a different movie
Battle Royale (2000) was meh but worth it to see where the Hunger Games and other ripoffs got their ideas. Much darker tone but it's hard to take too seriously as a lower budget nearly 25 year old movie
Now watching Squid Game. The acting is kind of all over the place, the dub is laughably bad, and the pacing can be awfully slow but it appears like things are picking up now (Episode 4). We'll see if I stick with it

Yeah, first tournament without much bullshit surrounding it in quite a while. So that'll be a comfy thing to enjoy... right? Except it's rather meh. Feels like every team is playing it safe now, like lowest bad passes percentage wins.
EN still being in it must be some god feeding off of the hopes and the subsequent dashing of them. FR/NL/ES being champion? I think it will be FR, because the others struggled too much on weaker stuff. Portugal/France was the real final. Your thoughts?

"My" club is a lower league team, so watching any national game is league's ahead skill wise, so it's entertaining for that alone. Yes, England & France play very defensively compared to what they could play.
I think Spain is the strongest team, but they have tons of young players who might break under the pressure of going far into the tournament and they haven't had to play from behind yet (well they had against ... Georgia...).
France is a good 2nd choice, slightly ahead of England.
Personal preferences: NED > ESP > FRA > ENG
