Stranger things was only good for one season.

Thats shows so fricking butt now and anyone who brings it I tard rage.

That's most shows on here. Black Mirror was only good for the first seasons. Game of thrones famously got very bad near the end. Peaky Blinders got stale. The Office got stale. The Boys is in the process of suicide.

Either there just aren't that many good shows (which is probably true in all fairness) or whoever compiled this list just compared the most well received seasons

The number of shows that have a good start to finish are very few. And even then people are divisive about something ending. I bet as show writers, its hard when the money counters and rabid fanbases want you to keep adding seasons when you want to end it.

It was mid at best. :marseyunamused:

This explains why The Wire is in the top 10. Americans have absolutely garbage taste when it comes to TV shows.

Why isn't imdb in there?

:marseysquint:

I'm starting to think this whole chart is bullshit....

Oh, there it is! :#!marseytiny4: https://i.rdrama.net/images/1720452024447147.webp

Now let's see how they calculated 8.85 for GoT....

Checks out too.

But I still don't like it.

Peaky Blinders started off strong as frick. Every episode in the earlier seasons had some sort of sick butt transition into the opening credits.

Tom Hardy enters as this Jewish Mobster a couple seasons in and steals the show. Great acting, interesting character with complex morals and shit.

The show starts to taper and then it suddenly crashes. I think it's the third or fourth season.

A rival gang takes the protagonist (Tommy)'s son and I guess baits him into walking into a field they laid mines down in. Tommy rescues his son and then pulls out an automatic weapon and starts shooting the mines in anger. I stopped watching immediately after that scene.

Last seadon (without Polly) really felt phoned in. The final twist wasn't even all that twisty

The time has come for the Necromaster. The unleashing of the fourth joker's card. The arrival of The Great Milenko

I watched a bit of Fleabag and I'm actually down for a nice moid mocking show but the humour seemed awfully clumsy and a bit annoying. I don't know why people like it.

idk why everyone wants Ozark, that's barely a step above generic crime detective drama

Better Call Saul is one of the only recent ones that deserves to be remembered

Peaky Blinders I tried watching a couple of times, it comes across as Scarface the TV show in the sense that people only like it because they wanna be badass like the characters.

The Bear is wanky critic bait

The Boys is okay but certainly doesn't deserve to be on this list

lold a bit how The Wire isn't everyone's favourite any more, there was a period of time where all of the most annoying pretentious people you knew would talk about nothing else

While I never take rankings seriously it's interesting to think how to rank TV shows when so many of them fall off over time. Seasons 1-4 of GoT are still (mostly) great, season 8 is some of the worst television ever created. I would still recommend it with the caveat of it being "unfinished", but I don't think rating it with a number can reflect that.

Anyway, the Boys and Mandalorian should really frick off the list altogether, sloppp.

Also, I never got why Dark was so popular, it has the most hatable cast of characters I ever seen, I wished they all died. Dropped it after season 1, never looked back.

I get routinely mocked in public for wearing a mask. (fake-liberal bastion of Austin, TX). If I weren't a tall, large man, it would likely be much worse.

Had a woman mutter the f-word at me under her breath in passing, for wearing one just the other day, as I was walking out of an HEB. No, not frick. The other f-word. The homosexual slur. Said that shit at just the right moment when I was just outside the store, rolling groceries to my vehicle, and unable to react in time. It's just one example, I have many stories.

I am boosted with the good stuff. I just don't want to get COVID and nobody around me is masking up, even after COVID exposure reports. A friend of mine got COVID back in March of this year, and their sense of smell and taste still has not returned. It has dramatically harmed their quality of life, and they're not sure for how long. Could be forever.

I don't know how to not be targeted for abuse by....other Texans, and still stay safe right now.

Maybe another spike would give my safe behaviors more cover, because there would be more people masking up then? I don't know. I know it's a strange way to think about it, but I'm at my wit's end as far as what to do.
