The corpse that disintegrates when Cole touches it was made by hand and had to take an entire day to be shot like 6 times bc Cole's actor had to place his hand in exactly one spot with exactly amount of pressure for it to fall properly and they'd have to clean up and replicate yhr ash each time
Also all the 3d printing they had to do on the valyria model specifically for Aegon to smash up was very expensive and the practical effect dragon skulls were $$

I choose to believe everything Mushroom says is true, especially about the Brothel Queens.
But seriously, that's something which bothers me about F&B, I wished Martin wrote a Silmarillion like lore corpus about the Targaryens where everything is true even if written as a history book instead of a in-world fake history to complicate matters. But I also enjoy the structure of the book on the same way I enjoy Ancient Roman primary sources which are unreliable and filled with gossip which is the style GRRM is aiming.
