I do kinda appreciate the Chris Evans cameo. He seemed pretty done with playing Cap so when he showed up I was surprised. I didn't even remember he originally played the Human Torch until he transformed in the movie. I admit they got me with that one. I also like that they got to show Channing Tatum as Gambit. For the most part though it seems like it was a whose available sort of thing. I highly doubt they intentionally chose Jennifer Garner's Elektra over Ben Affleck's Dare Devil for example, she was just free for the role.
