Yeah it's far from worst CGI I've seen, but it looks weirdly disjointed, some scenes seem to go for more photoreal look and others are more stylized, cartoon like.

Im pretty sure that's a design choice. The scenes that are soft and cartoon-like are Snow White scenes, representing a fairytale ideal. The scenes that are photoreal come from the Evil Queen, representing sharp brutal reality.
