L O S T was peak TV and it's been all downhill since.

It still looks great too. I like how they actually filmed in Hawaii instead of being filmed in Vancouver or whatever like 90% of TV.

i tried to watch this a couple times but after the first few episodes, but really didn't care of any of the characters died.

I don't remember but there's a lot of weird factoid information about how TV shows are made and pitched and stuff, and I think it actually had to do with them being cheaper and not as popular and needing to pad commercial time for value. I read a bunch once and it was really interesting how it's changed and why things happen.

25 episodes per season

The trouble is no matter how good the show is, you're guaranteed to have several of those be filler. Even on Star Trek or 24 or the Twilight Zone there's episodes where you can tell they didn't have any good idea coming together that week so they just went through the motions.

I plan to watch this someday but I've never gotten around to it yet because it was in my k-drama phase. Which had the same problem back then, where they would do 20 episodes but only have enough ideas for 15 episodes. You could always tell when they ran out of ideas because somebody would get amnesia and there would be 5 episodes where the story doesn't make any progress until their memory is miraculously restored.
