Carl Hiaasen novel + Vince Vaughn makes for excellent kino.
For all non-floridacels, Carl Hiaasen writes noir novels set in the state of Florida that functionally serve as a lampoon of the state, but also as a frick you to tourists. They're good shit.
His books always are about a middle aged guy who likes to drink, fish, and grill who gets somehow caught up in a criminal conspiracy. He then always ends up fricking a girl 15 years younger than him.
But tell me more how thats rainbow person shit, I'd like to know.
I've always been an under the radar fan of double V, but for some reason I didn't think I was going to like this show. The first two episodes were great, the humor was on-point, the tone is right, and I really like the Florida/Bahamas vibe. It also doesn't hurt that the medical examiner broad is easy on the eyes, even though you can tell she's like 40 or something. The Bahamas voodoo daughter chick is good looking as well. Vince is managing his high hairline well too.

He gives me less descriptive and more grounded in reality Pynchon vibes.

No, not really. At least so far four episodes in (I haven't seen the latest though). It's more of a comedy-drama.
