The lead character was literally neurodivergent. I've seen people praising her performance but I thought she was terrible lol.
The set up was moderately interesting where you have a serial killer killing entire families without being in the house. But then at the end they explain in an exposition dump that it was literally magic.
Nic Cage was decent but he has a total of like five minutes of screen time.
I will say the cinematography was good. It's a beautifully shot movie and it does a good job of building tension with how they frame scenes.

"Silence of the Lambs except every character is neurodivergent" is a pretty good description of the movie

The MC is a qt neurodivergent queen. The ending is genuinely one of the worst ive seen in a horror movie tho. It also doesn't allign with how the killings were described earlier. when they first go to the farm it's implied the doll had been in the house for a while and had driven everyone insane which is why the dad senses something os wrong and calls a priest. Yet the ending has killings happen immediately with the mom being in the house watching for every murder and covered with blood. Second half of the movie easily took this from an 8/10 to like a 5/10

Really good on atmosphere, not so good on much else. I got tired of the FBI doing stupid things.
They at least suggested there was something else at play from the very start when the main character was seen to be at least a bit psychic.

I agree. Seriously stupid ending. They were obsessed with putting a twist in and just ruined it
