I watched it once. My opinion was, they're obviously trying to rip off the X-Files except that there's so much goddarn light. Totally kills the vibe. On this show people walk around in the daylight. The X-Files was unnaturally dark. Almost every scene is at night or in an indoor setting that's way darker than it would be in real life.
They don't teach you in stage lighting 101 that things are scarier if it's dark. You're expected to know that instinctively if you're not a literal r-slur.
It really shows you how the technical elements of a show can make it or break it. As a wise man once said, maybe you don't notice but your brain does.
