I wish the producers didn't develop another sequel for squid game since the entire show already gets its point across about both sides being le evil ou quelque chose, just like the film Parasite by Bong Joon-Ho. but I guess that when you are the most popular show in the quarantine by far you are bound to have your IP milked until the last drop of money can be squeezed. Thoughts on the show?

The thing that appealed to me the most about k-dramas back in the pre-Netflix era was that they never had a second season. So they just concentrated on telling their story and came to a satisfying conclusion. American TV shows are trying to get renewed and have no idea how many seasons they'll get so they can't plan out anything ahead of time. They're just making shit up as they go along. The writers can't lay the groundwork for future plot lines because they haven't even been thought of yet. The actors don't know how to act because they might frick or kill another character in the next episode. And eventually they always run out of ideas and end up ripping off their own earlier episodes.
This is a model that goes back to near the dawn of TV, and I'd assume back to pre-war radio. The corporate suits like it because they can anticipate how many people will watch the next season of Becker or Baywatch and they don't like uncertainty. But it's a pretty terrible way of telling a story.
