!g*mers !codecels didn't Valve disabled sprays in like 2019 on their servers and never turned them on again not because of folx putting porn/gore (at least this may be the official excusde), but rather, the main reason was because of an RCE vulnerability that they never learned how to patch?, at least this is how I remember it!, although I played with sprays enabled in community servers for years since then and never had issues with RCE vulnerabilities as far as I am aware!

Nah sprays in valve servers were disabled yeeeears ago, it was a porn thing. they probably just didn't want the liability of "my kid saw porn in your game through YOUUURRRR servers" but had to leave in the shit like signs due to money being involved

nah, valves own servers went spray-free a decade ago for porn gore etc. A handful of exploits have cropped up since (I think it was a crash with gigabyte sized sprays that made them default disable them overall more recently?) RCE as far as I'm aware never made it into the wild, there was just a hoax following one of the various leaks to scare redditors
