Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland toured a new building on Monday offering micro-apartments starting at $1,600 per month that she said was illustrative of the homes that her government is getting built for “low and middle income Canadians.”
We would like to acknowledge that this hole is established on the traditional and vibrantly coloured land of Don Cherry. We recognize the many years of service and garishly coloured joy he has brought us here on Turtle Island. May we continue to celebrate the spirit of Don Cherry's land with respect and appreciation.

I'm glad I paid the majority down on my place, and the mortgage is thankfully completed. I wish I could say I got a decent amount of land, too, but I have the tiniest backyard (I can still garden just enough but cannot have country gal pets
) and I could only afford a one car garage.
At least now all my disposable savings go into property tax and the HOA's pockets
but I love the house so much I could never say I regretted the decision to buy.

My house is 2000 sq feet. I pay about the same for my mortgage, although that should drop hopefully once interest goes down. Probably gonna add another 400 feet with some Reno's in the next couple years. Granted i live in the frozen shithole part of leaf land, but still. Feels good to be a landchad
