I would buy an EV if they weren't fricking 50 grand for 200km of range, didn't lose range over time, and you didn't have to buy an entirely new battery every 8 years. Also... there are only like 5 different EVs on the market, and a majority of them are "luxury" with a bunch of silicon valley techstrag features that inflate the price. I just want bluetooth and physical buttons so I can control stuff while driving, I don't want to flip through 8 menus on a dogshit touchscreen to get to the climate control. The liberals are actually just trolling at this point

i have some friends with teslas who have nothing but good things to say, but i still don't see why i'd want one. i also live in warmer climate, canada seems like one of the worst places for EVs

Teslas have awful finishes though, they have the price of a luxury brand without the same level of care and quality.

Until you can recharge as fast as you can fill up ill stick to a hybrid as my next vehicle. When we all went to the beach my buddies in the tesla they forgot to charge took 6 hrs to arrive while it took us 4.

Tbf they had a foid that insisted they onky charge to 50% at a time to save the battery or some shit. Sounds miserable.m

Teslas are such big pieces of crap. The build quality is comically poor, and the entire design ethos of Tesla is just insulting to anyone who likes cars

Yeah I heard that you get way less kms on a charge in cold weather.

Have you looked into the Chevy Bolt? It was 26k and had a 7500 tax credit. Gets about 250 miles on a charge. Still has the bullshit touch screens with apple car play, but you can change the climate control with knobs.

250 miles isn't bad at all, that's more than my nissan gets on a tank
