I think that all these pro immigration ideals all really stem from Canada failing to keep its original national indentity (That of a predominantly a pro british colonial anglo dominated protestant country) and then having to replace all this with something, or maybe it is just the politicians that have changed these ideals. Who knows. Either way Canada is a shithole now and i am looking forward to whenever people stop being stupid, if that ever happens.

That was probably the moment you could pinpoint it but tbh it was nearly stillborn to begin with. British observers from the early 1800s to the 1980s all remarked how we were/are 'anti-American Americans' which is so true. It's heresy to say but everyone speaking French is probably the only way we could have avoided where we are now.
