Unironically, the worst racism I've ever experienced was when I tried to go to Canada and they detained me at the border and questioned me for almost an hour trying to get me to confess to not being born in America. I had definitely experienced "micro aggressions" in America (especially since moving to Buffalo), but I always thought they were just funny and never took it personally. This was my first time actually feeling oppressed for my race.
I could have maybe dismissed it as an unfortunate happenstance that I was detained like this, except that I saw that every single other person who was detained was non-white as well. And not just sexy Indian dudes. Black people, dark-skinned Latinx, I was the lightest skinned person there but they must have seen my Chinese name on my passport and decided that there's no way a Chinaman could actually be born in California.
Also, they're even more cucked on trans bullshit than California. Frick Canada
