2 weeks ago I drove at Bishop Grandin Blvd, there was a car behind me and another car in front of me. Then suddenly I heard a very loud sound and then when I stepped on the gas pedal it didn't work and my car slow down then I stopped it on the road shoulder. And when I tried to restarted it didn't work. Then I called the infiniti dealer road assistance to tow my car to the collision centre. And I ride on my friend's car to go back to the road to check what's wrong with the road and find some rocks in the middle of the road (which no way I can notice back then and shouldn't be in the road). I've recorded it in my phone. I think this may be the reason why I heard loud sound and my car can't get started afterwards. These rocks should no way be on the middle of the road. It's very dangerous. And when I was driving my 7 months baby was in the car as well. By the way, I've seen another car being towed maybe for the same reason. The content above is what I submitted to MPI and they said they would contact me within 5 business days. But up until today I receive nothing, no email, no text messages and no calls. So this morning I called the adjuster and she said their team has finished the assessment of the damage and found the damage is not related to the rock collision but the mechanical system problem of the car. What the f**k, then I explained patiently to her but she just insisted that I should get my car towed to a repair shop to reassess the damage. She said even the final assessment prove the damage is related to the rock collision I will lose my driver license points. I also contacted the adjuster's supervisor and he said their team didn't found visible damage of my car(I think it's the reason they let me find a shop to reassess it). My question is should I find a repair shop to reassess the damage or be prepared to the small claim court? If so what type of lawyer do I need cos today I did contact some law firms but up until now didn't find a lawyer willing to deal with that issue? Has anyone come across similar issues? Can anyone recommend some lawyers to me and I'll really appreciate the help.

There was a post about that on legaladvice too but a lot more coherent and less profane
